What is it?
This is a suite of programs that enable nonprofits to work more effectively online. Google offers the following tools for free:
- G Suite for Nonprofits: A suite of online work tools (Gmail, Docs, Calendar, Drive, and Google Meet). Premium features of Google Meet will be available until September 30, 2020.
- Ad Grants: A program that provides non-cash grants of up to $10,000 per month for placing ads on Google Search. The program will be available in Ukraine until October 2020.
- YouTube Premium Features
- Google Earth and Google Maps
Who can use it?
To get a Google for Nonprofits account, the organization must meet the following requirements:
- The organization must be registered with TechSoup Ukraine, the regional branch of the TechSoup Global network.
- The organization must be a:
- Charitable organization
- Public association
- Religious organization
- International nonprofit organization
Organizations cannot participate in the Google for Nonprofits program if they are:
- A government agency or body
- A hospital or medical facility (charitable units and funds associated with medical organizations are eligible)
- A school, educational institution, or university (charitable departments of educational organizations are eligible)
What is the registration procedure?
- Visit the Google for Nonprofits website.
- Click “Get Started” in the upper right corner.
- Follow the instructions.
TechSoup or its local branch must confirm that your organization is nonprofit. The application review period is from two to 14 days. Once the organization’s status is confirmed, the above-mentioned Google products can be activated.
How to get money for advertising on Google Ads?
Ad Grants provides grants for advertising on Google with a monthly budget of $10,000. Google Ads accounts participating in the Google Ad Grants program have certain settings restrictions:
- The maximum daily budget is $329, and the monthly budget is $10,000.
- The maximum cost per click should not exceed $2.00.
- Campaigns can only be configured with keywords.
- Only text ads are allowed to appear on Google search results pages below paid advertiser positions.
